  • An American breed of domestic chicken. It was developed in the United States in the 1970s.

There are both standard-sized and bantam versions.

They lay a medium-to-large blue egg.  Hens will lay about 150 to 250 eggs a year.

They have a pea comb,  tailed, muffed, and are bearded. The earlobes are small and round, the wattles are small or absent; earlobes, comb, and wattles are all red. The shanks are typically slate-blue, or black.

These chickens are derived from Araucana chickens brought from Chile. It was bred to retain the blue-egg gene but eliminate the lethal alleles of the parent breed.

  • Chicks are straight run.  This means male and female chickens.  There are no refunds or exchanges for male chicks.   You may bring males back to us.
